Jewellery that’s Breaking stimas
I created this line of Jewellery to help people break through all the different type of stigmas we face in our society that no one truly wants to talk about or feels comfortable enough to talk about. We as humans tend to suffer a lot in silence, hiding our emotions so others don’t see or feel what we may be experiencing. These pieces of jewellery I created are through some of my own personals and through the eyes of others are, recognizing that we are all unique and some of us may struggle just a little bit differently. It’s about trying to open up the dialogue to the uncomfortable conversation, to emotions, relationships and attachments so we can start healing ourselves and the people around us!

“In any given year, one in five Canadians will experience mental illness. The rest of us are their family, friends, colleagues, loved ones and neighbours.”
“Did you know that mental illness is a leading cause of disability in Canada? In any given week, at least 500,000 employed Canadians are unable to work due to mental illness. Imagine how many more are slogging through the day, struggling in silence.”
“Tragically, suicide is the second leading cause of death among Canadian youth and youth who die by suicide are frequently experiencing an undiagnosed or untreated mental illness. We need to chip away at this stigma. We need to talk about it. We need to inspire hope.”
